POSTNATAL CORE YOGA

For new moms or anyone wanting to focus on strengthening core muscles This multi-level yoga flowing Anusara Yoga class focuses on core conditioning by strengthening the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles and reawakening the whole body. Includes “Ab Rehab” to heal Diastasis Recti (separated abdominal wall). The class is appropriate for women who have recently had babies, however, all women, young or old, with children or not, are welcome. This is not a “gentle” class, so be prepared to sweat.

Why a Postnatal Core Yoga Class?
The physical changes of pregnancy, and the childbirth process, put a tremendous amount of strain on a woman’s body---especially weakening the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, and straining muscles important for maintaining postural integrity. In this class all postpartum student will be checked for Diastasis recti, and will be given appropriate steps to heal this separated abdominal wall. Abdominal strengthening and universal principles of alignment will be used to draw each woman back toward their optimal blue print. We’ll focus on building inner and outer strength so that you feel strong, empowered and better able to take care of your children and loved ones.
